  • The first Qplate issued was Q1 in 1921
  • The last Qplate issued was Q687612 in 1955

The Great Plate Auction - 1985

  • The Great Queensland Plate Auction was held at the
  • Sheraton Hotel on Sunday 9th June 1985
  • Two categories of plates were offered:
  • Prestige plates & Queensland Traditional plates
  • A total of 175 plates were auctioned on the day.
  • 4 Prestige plates & 169 Qplates - All were sold !
  • A list of the Qplates sold at the auction will be added to the price watch page next week
